Bogor, Cijeruk — Leveraging digital technology is one method village governments can use to expand public access to information. Students from the *Kuliah Kerja Nyata* (KKN)—or Community Service Program—"Wigata Dharma" of Nahdlatul Ulama Indonesia University (Unusia) supported this initiative by launching a website for Warungmenteng Village, Cijeruk District, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Wednesday (September 30).
The website is part of the "Warungmenteng Village Digitalization" program developed by the students during their community service tenure. Its launch provides a platform for the Warungmenteng Village Government to manage and disseminate village information through a digital channel accessible to the public.
For the Warungmenteng Village Government, the website presents an opportunity to establish easier communication patterns between the government and residents. Village-related information can be consolidated into a single medium, giving the community more practical access to details concerning their local environment.
Warungmenteng Village Secretary Agil Asmi Farisi expressed appreciation for the program initiated by the Unusia KKN students. He believes the website will assist the village government while serving as a link to the community.
"This village website is expected to serve as a bridge between the Warungmenteng Village Government and the community. It is an innovation by the KKN students that will hopefully streamline various processes for both the village government and the residents," said Agil during the website launch at the Baitul Asmar Hall in Warungmenteng, Cijeruk, Bogor.
The program also represents an effort by the KKN students to apply the knowledge gained during their university studies to address community needs. The hope is that the website will not merely remain a finished product of the KKN program but will continue to be utilized and further developed by the village government.
Fajry Maulana, Head of the Unusia "Wigata Dharma" KKN team, stated that the website was created to meet the information needs of both the Warungmenteng Village Government and the community. “We hope that the Warungmenteng Village website can serve as a solution to the needs of both the Warungmenteng Village Government and the community,” said Fajry.
Sustainability is a key consideration following the website's launch. Muhammad Afifi, the Field Supervisor for the Unusia *Wigata Dharma* Community Service Program (KKN), encouraged the Warungmenteng Village Government to strengthen its website management capabilities, specifically through technical training.
“It is hoped that the village government can organize technical training regarding the Warungmenteng Village website, and hopefully, efforts will be made next year to have students from Nahdlatul Ulama Indonesia University return here for the KKN program to further develop the website that has been built,” said Afifi.
This encouragement highlights that village digitalization does not end with the mere availability of a platform. Managing and updating information are crucial for keeping the website relevant and ensuring it continues to benefit the community.
Through this program, Unusia *Wigata Dharma* KKN students have played a role in introducing the use of digital technology within the village. Collaboration with the Warungmenteng Village Government is expected to pave the way for the website's sustainable development while simultaneously improving community access to village information.
