Jakarta — Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Indonesia (Unusia) has officially opened its New Student Admissions (PMB) for the 2027 academic year, effective November 1, 2026. For this year’s intake, Unusia offers several advantages for prospective students, including free registration via the regular track, accessibility for applicants of all age groups, and six different scholarship programs.
The opening of the 2027 admissions cycle provides an opportunity for individuals looking to pursue higher education. Unusia offers academic programs across six faculties, spanning bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, allowing prospective students to further their education in fields that align with their personal needs and academic interests.
A key benefit offered this year is the waiver of registration fees for the regular track, enabling prospective students to complete the application process at no cost. Additionally, Unusia offers an extension track, which carries its own specific registration fee structure.
The 2027 admissions process is divided into three phases. The first phase runs from November 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027. The second phase is open from April 1 to June 30, 2027, and the third phase takes place from July 1 to September 11, 2027. This phased approach provides prospective students with flexibility in timing their applications.
Beyond the regular track, Unusia offers six scholarship options designed to support prospective students from diverse social and economic backgrounds, as well as those with notable academic or other achievements. The program includes the *Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP) Kuliah* (Smart Indonesia Card for Higher Education) for prospective students from families falling within deciles 1–4, as well as the *Kartu Jakarta Mahasiswa Unggul* (KJMU) for prospective students who hold a Jakarta ID card or reside in Jakarta.
Another option is the *Beasiswa Cahaya Pintar* (Smart Light Scholarship), intended for prospective students from underprivileged families. Unusia also offers an Achievement Scholarship (*Beasiswa Prestasi*) for prospective students capable of memorizing the entire 30 *juz* of the Quran or those skilled in *qira'at* (recitation of religious texts). Meanwhile, the LPDP-*Beasiswa Indonesia Bangkit* (BIB) scholarship is aimed at prospective students who have received a recommendation from an Islamic boarding school (*pondok pesantren*), while the "NU Leader Future" program is reserved for those recommended by the leadership of Nahdlatul Ulama.
The availability of these various scholarships provides alternative educational support for prospective students, depending on the specific criteria of each program. Consequently, the opportunity to pursue higher education at Unusia is not limited to those with strong academic ability; it is also open to prospective students based on their economic background, religious achievements, or institutional recommendations that meet the established requirements.
The registration process is conducted online via the website pmb.unusia.ac.id. Prospective students can complete an online application form and subsequently undergo the selection stages corresponding to their chosen admission track. For those applying through a scholarship track, the selection process includes a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and an interview. Information regarding the requirements and terms for each scholarship, available study programs, and the stages of the admission process can be accessed on the official Unusia student admissions website.
Through its new student admissions for the 2027 academic year, Unusia offers broader access to higher education, providing a variety of academic levels and scholarship support. Prospective students of diverse ages and backgrounds are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to further their education and develop their potential within Unusia’s academic environment.
