PKKMB Unusia 2026 Resmi Dibuka, Ratusan Unusian Muda Ikuti Kegiatan

Bogor, Parung — Nahdlatul Ulama Indonesia University (Unusia) officially opened its 2026 Campus Life Introduction for New Students (PKKMB) on Thursday (October 1). Carrying the theme "Nawasena Karuna"—embodying the spirit of "A Bright Future Rooted in Empathy, Inspiring Action"—this year's PKKMB is attended by @with an *istighosah* (communal prayer) to strengthen spiritual values before the students embark on their academic journey at Unusia. Abdul Hafidz, Chair of the 2026 PKKMB Committee, stated in his report that the event is designed to help students familiarize themselves with the campus environment while gaining the necessary preparation for university life.

According to Abdul Hafidz, the 2026 PKKMB goes beyond a mere campus tour; it features various educational materials and activities infused with the "Nawasena" spirit. He also expressed his appreciation to everyone involved in the preparation and execution of the event.

Addressing the new students, Unusia Rector Dr. Fariz Alnizar shared messages on how to navigate their university years while preparing for the future. He urged students not to simply attend classes but to have clear goals regarding the knowledge, experience, and achievements they wish to attain during their time at Unusia.

"Whatever your motivations and commitments may be, let us channel them toward acquiring beneficial knowledge, gaining extraordinary experiences, and achieving excellence," said Fariz.

Fariz also emphasized the importance of dedication in completing their education on time. He encouraged new students to view the eight-semester timeframe as the maximum duration for their studies and to approach their academic journey with discipline. He emphasized that various activities integral to campus life—including *Journey in Campus*—should be viewed as part of the process of shaping the student experience throughout their education.

"Don't spend too long studying at Unusia. You must leave—meaning graduate—within a maximum of eight semesters. Do not harbor any intention or plan to stay beyond that eight-semester limit," he asserted.

Beyond the duration of their studies, Fariz urged new students to start thinking about their futures while still in college. He noted that youth offers students ample room to set goals and explore various opportunities that foster personal growth.

He believes that the journey following graduation requires more than just academic proficiency; students must also build competencies, collaborative skills, the courage to seize opportunities, and the initiative to make decisions.

"You are young—be bold enough to seize opportunities, take initiative, and make decisions. Believe me, these qualities will prove valuable once you graduate from this campus," he said.

This message also served as a call for students to avoid a passive approach to campus life. The Rector emphasized that the courage to face challenges and seize opportunities is crucial to how students shape their experiences, capabilities, and future paths.

Symbolically, the commencement of PKKMB 2026 was marked by the striking of a gong by the Unusia Rector, accompanied by vice-rectors, faculty members, and the wider Unusia academic community. This ceremony signaled the start of the orientation period for the 418 new students entering the Unusia academic environment.

During the program, new students received briefings on topics ranging from academic life, campus administration, and campus safety and comfort, to the strengthening of personal integrity. These sessions were designed to introduce students to the various aspects of life they will encounter as members of the extended Unusia family. Through PKKMB 2026, Unusia not only introduces new students to the campus environment and lifestyle but also opens up an initial space for them to shape their perspectives on their academic journeys and futures. The spirit of *Nawasena Karuna* serves as a foundation to encourage students to engage in the learning process, develop competencies, boldly seize opportunities, and take actions that benefit society.
