Jakarta – Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Indonesia (Unusia) hosted a visit from representatives of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of DKI Jakarta on Wednesday (August 19) to explore a more synergistic educational collaboration with the MUI DKI Jakarta’s *Pendidikan Kader Ulama* (PKU)—a program for the training of *ulama* (Islamic scholars).
The visit was attended by Mulyadin Permana, an MUI DKI Jakarta official in the Education Division who also serves as the Secretary of PKU MUI DKI Jakarta. The meeting took place in a spirit of cordiality and focused on discussing plans and mechanisms for educational cooperation between Unusia and PKU MUI DKI Jakarta.
A key topic of discussion was the plan to develop a master's degree scheme that integrates the PKU program with Unusia’s academic curriculum. This discussion is part of a joint effort to formulate a mutually supportive partnership and to open opportunities for advancing *ulama* cadre education to a higher academic level.
This meeting served as a follow-up to an earlier discussion held on August 3, 2026, at the MUI DKI Jakarta office. That initial meeting marked the first step toward strengthening synergy and further exploring opportunities for collaborative educational programming between the two parties.
