Fariz Alnizar Officially Inaugurated as Rector of Unusia for the 2026–2030 Term

Jakarta – Dr. Fariz Alnizar, M.Hum., was officially inaugurated as Rector of Nahdlatul Ulama Indonesia University (Unusia) for the 2026–2030 term. The inauguration was conducted by the Deputy Chairman of the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU), Prof. Dr. Nizar Ali, M.Ag., on the 8th Floor of the PBNU Building, Jalan Kramat Raya No. 164, Senen, Jakarta, on Tuesday (August 4, 2026).
The inauguration was based on Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board Decree Number 698/PB.01/AII.01.22/99/07/2026 concerning the Appointment of the Rector of Nahdlatul Ulama Indonesia University for the 2026–2030 Term.
In his remarks, Prof. Prof. Nizar Ali stated that the change in rector is a crucial moment to strengthen Unusia's role as a leading Nahdlatul Ulama university capable of responding to the challenges of the times.
"The position of rector is not only an administrative mandate, but also an academic, moral, and leadership mandate. The rector must be a visionary leader with integrity and mobilize the full potential of the academic community," said Prof. Nizar Ali.
He also encouraged the entire academic community to continue strengthening governance, improving the quality of education and research, and expanding collaboration so that Unusia can further benefit the community.
The Head of the Unusia Executive Board (BPP), Juri Ardiantoro, welcomed the new leadership. According to him, Fariz Alnizar is a figure who has grown with Unusia and is expected to lead the campus to further development.
"Hopefully, this new rector will bring a new spirit, be more progressive, stronger, and be proof that Unusia can continue to grow and become an example for other universities," said Juri Ardiantoro.
Following his inauguration, Fariz Alnizar reiterated his commitment to accelerating the transformation pioneered by his predecessors. He stated that strengthening internal governance will go hand in hand with expanding collaboration with various stakeholders.
"What we will undertake is transformative acceleration, both internally and externally, including establishing collaboration with stakeholders outside the Unusia institution," Fariz stated.
Fariz viewed the change in leadership as a momentum to revitalize the foundations built by the founders and previous leaders. He encouraged the entire academic community to strengthen consolidation and work together to realize an even more advanced Unusia.
"This is a momentum to reactualize the foundations established by the founders and leaders of Unusia. Moving forward, we are ready to work together with all levels of staff on this campus," he said.
The inauguration of the Unusia Rector for the 2026–2030 term marks the beginning of a new leadership that is expected to strengthen Unusia's transformation, collaboration, and contribution to higher education, research, and community service.
