Jakarta – The Faculty of Nusantara Islam (FIN) at Nahdlatul Ulama Indonesia University (Unusia) has established a partnership with the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta regarding new student admissions. This collaboration is part of both faculties' efforts to expand access to higher education and provide alternatives for prospective students who were unable to secure a place at FISIP UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.

The partnership was a key topic during a meeting between FIN Unusia and FISIP UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta on Thursday (6/8). FIN Unusia was represented by its Dean and Vice Dean, while FISIP UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta was represented by its Dean and Vice Deans.

Through this collaboration, prospective students who participated in the selection process at FISIP UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta but were not accepted due to quota limitations are given the opportunity to pursue their education at Unusia via a special recommendation pathway. Those receiving this recommendation can be admitted to Unusia without undergoing a selection test (direct admission).

Under this scheme, prospective students may choose from three available study programs: Bachelor’s in Nusantara Islam, Bachelor’s in Psychology, or Bachelor’s in Sociology. To finalize their admission status, students must still register through the Unusia admissions website in accordance with the established schedule.

The partnership between FIN Unusia and FISIP UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta extends beyond student admissions. Both faculties are also opening avenues for collaboration in education, research, and institutional development. Areas of cooperation include curriculum development or joint programs, the organization of seminars and academic conferences, joint research initiatives, and the development of research and scholarly centers.

For FIN Unusia, this partnership is part of an effort to expand its institutional network while simultaneously providing broader access for prospective students. The student admission scheme implemented jointly with the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta offers prospective students the opportunity to pursue higher education through the study programs available at Unusia.

This partnership also serves as an opportunity to strengthen ties between the two higher education institutions. Through collaboration in student admissions, education, research, and institutional development, it is hoped that FIN Unusia and FISIP UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta will continue to expand various forms of cooperation that benefit the academic community and prospective students alike.
