Jakarta — Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Indonesia (Unusia) discussed opportunities for scholarship program synergy with Yayasan Baitul Maal (YBM) PLN and the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) at the Unusia Rectorate office in Jakarta on Friday (September 4). The meeting addressed plans for scholarship programs aimed at prospective undergraduate (S1) and master's (S2) students.
During the discussion, Unusia proposed a scholarship partnership with YBM PLN, with BAZNAS and Unusia acting as program organizers. The program is designed to provide opportunities for prospective students who possess academic potential but require financial support to pursue higher education.
Unusia Rector Dr. Fariz Alnizar stated that this synergy could extend beyond financial support for education to include potential academic collaborations. Students could be encouraged to participate in activities relevant to the programs or issues prioritized by YBM PLN.
In addition to scholarships, Unusia is exploring opportunities for cooperation in research, the development of final project topics, and student activities. Such collaboration is expected to yield broader benefits for students while strengthening ties between the university, philanthropic institutions, and the professional sector.
Through this synergy with YBM PLN and BAZNAS, Unusia continues to promote educational support initiatives that expand opportunities for the public to pursue higher education. This effort reflects Unusia's commitment to enhancing access to education and ensuring its sustainability for students.
